Broker

Broker Package is a set of programmes for safe transfer and management of data interchange between ERP systems in any cash desk/shop system.
In the headquarters and in branches there are servers responsible for the preparation, verification and transfer of data files and the confirmation of receipt.
The files to be transferred are first encoded and compressed.

Transfer

The transfer of files is started automatically on the branch side. So-called time windows in which the transfer is to occur are set. In extreme cases such a transfer may occur continuously or once a day. After the transfer of files to the headquarters the data intended for the branch is received.
The correctness of a transfer is verified, next the data is decoded and imported to the database in the branch, e.g. the modification of a pricelist, stocks, etc. After the receipt of the data in the headquarters the service notifies the logistics system on the receipt of data and commences the procedure of data import. Broker is equipped with the mechanism of confirming data receipt, remote configuration and modifying programme versions in branches.

General Information on the System

The program downloads files from a file defined during installation and sends them to FTP server in the headquarters. The dispatch takes place in an agreed time or upon demand. In order to cut costs the maximum number of connections per day is set. After the data transfer the service takes files from FTP server and passes them to the agreed file in the branch. Broker-Client is a servicing-free programme which operates entirely automatically.

Broker Programme records all events which occur in the communication system. Log viewing is available in the context menu. It is possible to set a filter for a selected period, whereas standard information is limited to a specific day. Logs are recorded with various levels of accuracy. The programme information is recorded in different logs, depending upon the type of activity:

general,

FTP,

dial-up for Broker-klient,

analysis.

Other options

transfer of any files (documents, photos, new software versions, etc.) between headquarters and branches,

remote configuration in branches by generating configuration files in the headquarters and situating them in the export file,

synchronising system time in branches.

Internet access through a constant connection or with a configured modem (no 'dial-up' connection has to be created).
